Seminar Mobility of graduates on the European labour market took place in Warsaw at Łazarski University on Friday 22nd of July 2011 with participation of the representatives of Ministry of Regional Development, Ministry of Education and Leonardo da Vinci programme representatives. More than 50 participants were present during the seminar.
Speakers presented some case studies of successful mobility of Polish graduates on European Labour markets, especially interesting was the case study of the Polish lawyers staring their career on German legal market. Many of them were very successful. The major obstacle turned out to be the level of knowledge of German language, most of those with good language competences were able to learn German law and develop their legal career.
Graduates from Łazarski University presented their experiences on European Labour markets in United Kingdom, Malta, Germany and Spain, all of them emphasizing the role of language competences and cultural awareness.
We presented E-bridge project with objectives and products meeting the above mentioned needs for successful mobility. The presentation was warmly received and the participants appreciated our project and found it relevant, useful and efficient for support of development of mobility in European Union.
