The Polish immigration constitutes a significant percentage of the whole British society and many institutions have been established offering ex pats the helpful hand. 

Poles feel a strong need for communication as well as integration of the Polish society. Every Pole, who starts his adventure in England and looks for: employment, a place to live and healthcare, may be sure to land among his compatriots. Poles, who stays in the United Kingdom for a longer period of time, had gone through the similar path before he adapted to the new environment. Apart of embassies or consulates, which support their citizens, you should look for associations which integrate your society. It iis worth to mention, that the Polish society within the United Kingdom has unified and shares the same goal – to speak in one voice.

With English at the end of the world

Is there any European who, has not ever heard: “Do you speak English?”. In the times when the world is open to various societies from various continents and the European Union labour market is heading towards the unification, we must be able to answer this question.

You can’t fool yourself, the English language, is the language of the whole world. But how to speak without knowing its basics? The English language is world’s dominant language and as the first, beyond native languages, constitutes the most effective society communication platform.

 

E-bridge to mobility

The "E-bridge to mobility" project addresses the needs that emerged after the accession to EU of new countries in 2004 and 2007, as well as the challenges that Europeans will face with development of common labour market.

The growing need of flexibility, adaptability and openness to change profession and place of work (including the country) requires complex solutions.The project is focused on creating innovative ICT tools facilitating the process of lifelong learning and mobility. Mobility issues affect people of all ages: students, workers and elderly , retired people, so the target groups of "E-bridge to mobility" are large and diverse.

The aim of the project

The aim of the project is a comprehensive on-line assistance for EU citizens dealing with mobility issues. It will be accomplished through development and implementation of innovative ICT tools and learning methodologies in the process of lifelong learning.

"E-bridge to mobility will improve professional skills (language and practical) and create e-community of people interested in mobility issues, it will improve the quality of lifelong learning, promote intercultural dialogue in professional training and prepare easily accessible didactic materials used for language education.
